GEICO
- GEICO and the BOE
- GEICO supplied Mercer Student
interns over this summer to redesign the Bibb County Website.
- GEICO
continued the support of these interns to oversee the implementation
and upkeep of the website and to work on designing
a template for school websites
- GEICO is funding the development
of the Education First website that will integrate a component
that will allow teachers
to go online and make a request for their classroom.
- Through
a generous donation from GEICO, teachers seeking their National
Board Certification will have noticeable
support. Teachers
will be provided their choice of video camera or laptop
to assist them in their year long process towards NBC.
Nationally,
50% of
teachers who pursue this certification are successful
the first time. We want Bibb County teachers to feel supported
and encouraged
throughout
the
process.
GEICO funded,
Education First, Community Foundation and Goodwill
As teachers make requests for funding, Community Foundation
has agreed
assist in the money and Goodwill will assist if there are
donated items.
